    Caritas Family Hospital proudly inaugurated the Family Cafe, creating a welcoming space for patients, bystanders, and staff to relax and refresh.

    The cafe was officially inaugurated by Rev. Dr. Binu Kunnath (Director and CEO, Caritas Hospital), in the esteemed presence of Rev. Fr. Joice Nandikunnel (Joint Director, Operations), Rev. Fr. Jismon Madathil (Joint Director, Media and Relations), Dr. Ajith Venugopalan (Chief Operations Officer), and the all staff of Caritas Family Hospital.

    This new initiative reflects our continued commitment to offering not only world-class healthcare but also comfort and care beyond treatment.

    Free Ophthalmology Camp Conducted at Baker Vidyapeed School – July 17, 2025

    Caritas Family Hospital (CFH) successfully conducted a free Ophthalmology Camp at Baker Vidyapeed School, Kottayam, on 17th July 2025. Led by Dr. Abraham Ipe (Consultant – Ophthalmology), the camp aimed to promote early detection of vision problems among school children. Over the course of the day, students underwent detailed eye screenings and were given the necessary advice for further care and follow-up.

    This initiative reflects the commitment of Caritas Family Hospital to community well-being through outreach and preventive healthcare. We extend our sincere thanks to the school authorities for their support and look forward to continuing our mission of bringing expert medical care to every corner of our community.

    Pediatric Medical Camp – Choice Kinderland, Kottayam

    A comprehensive medical camp was successfully conducted at Choice Kinderland, Kottayam, by the expert teams from Caritas Hospital and Caritas Family Hospital. The camp focused on early screening and preventive care for children, with dedicated consultations provided by specialists from the Departments of Ophthalmology and Pediatrics. Dr. Sherin John, Consultant – Pediatrics, led the pediatric evaluations, ensuring thorough assessments of each child’s growth and development. The initiative was coordinated under the leadership of Dr. Ajith Venugopalan, Chief Operations Officer, Caritas Hospital.

    Doctors conducted detailed eye check-ups and pediatric evaluations, offering personalized care and medical guidance to both children and parents. The program also aimed to educate caregivers on the importance of early health monitoring in childhood development. Caritas remains dedicated to extending its compassionate care beyond the hospital setting, creating healthier futures through outreach and community-based initiatives.

    Caritas Family Hospital conducted an Awareness Session and First Aid Kit Distribution at Government High School, Vadavathoor.

    Led by Dr. Sherin John, Consultant – Pediatrics, Caritas Family Hospital, the session aimed at empowering students and staff with essential health knowledge and emergency first aid skills.

    off by Mr. U Sreejith, Inspector of Police. This milestone marks a significant step forward in the hospital’s

    needs of each individual. By bringing medical care directly to patients’ homes, Caritas Family Hospital

    Medical camp for CMS College staff

    Caritas Hospital and CMS College Kottayam collaborated to celebrate National Nutrition
    Week (September 1-7) with an event on September 5th at the Great Hall of CMS College.
    The event included a medical camp for CMS College staff, a debate competition, and a
    quiz competition, all focused on the Nutrition Week theme of the year “Nutrition Diet For
    Everyone.” The program was coordinated by Dr. Remya Paul Mukkathu, HOD of the
    Department of Clinical Nutrition at Caritas Hospital, and Mrs. Renu K. Abraham, Assistant
    Professor of the Department of Dietetics and Food Service Management at CMS College
    Kottayam.

    Medical camp and awareness class

    Dr. Chikku Mathew conducted a class on sex education at a free medical camp organized by Kalathippadi Caritas Family Hospital at BCM College, Kottayam. ​Dr. Amita also conducted a class on the current need for Hydrafacial, a dermatology-related topic. On February 26th, the medical camp, which was held from morning to 2 pm, provided
    free health services and medicine distribution from various departments of Caritas to the people.

    Free – Medical Camp Ettumanoor

    Kalathippadi Caritas Family Hospital organized a free medical camp on February 24th at Nalumanikat on
    the Manarkadu-Ettumanoor bypass under the leadership of St. Mary’s College Manarkadu and the
    Manarkadu Rotary Club. Through this, it was possible to provide health services from various
    departments to the people free of charge.
